Team Helen Mary R 2026 Sets Sail: Another Adventure Begins

Today marks the exciting departure of Team Helen Mary R 2026, embarking on a life-changing offshore sailing expedition. We are proud to continue supporing this incredible initiative, fostering growth and unforgettable experiences for local young people.

Earlier this year, we were delighted to announce that H Tiddy and Fine & Country MId West Cornwall would once again be supporting the Roseland Youth Sailing Trust's annual offshore sailing programme, helping another young person experience an unforgettable voyage at sea.

Today, that adventure has officially begun.

This morning, the 2026 Team Helen Mary R gathered in Fowey before casting off for their ten day expedition aboard the 57 foot sailing vessel Helen Mary R. Weather and tides permitting, the crew will head south to France before sailing east along the Brittany coastline and returning home via the Channel Islands on 10 August.

For the ten young people taking part, this is far more than simply a sailing trip. Over the coming days they will stand watches through the night, navigate unfamiliar waters, prepare meals together, work as a team and learn to overcome challenges that only life at sea can provide. By the time they return to Cornwall, they will undoubtedly have developed greater confidence, resilience, independence and lifelong friendships.

Those qualities are exactly why we continue to support this remarkable initiative.

As a business deeply rooted within the Roseland Peninsula, we believe strongly in investing in our local community and helping create opportunities for young people. Roseland Youth Sailing Trust's Offshore Sailing Programme has now enabled dozens of teenagers to experience adventures that many would never otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy, entirely free of charge thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and supporters. H Tiddy has proudly supported every expedition since the programme began.

Watching Team Helen Mary R depart from Fowey is a reminder of what community sponsorship can achieve. Every organisation and individual involved plays a small part in creating an experience that many previous participants have described as life changing.

We wish every member of Team Helen Mary R 2026 fair winds, safe sailing and an unforgettable adventure. We look forward to following their progress over the coming days and welcoming them home with plenty of stories to tell.

Good luck Olivia, the crew and the other venturers. We hope you enjoy every moment.
