David Hoskings Appointed Head of H Tiddy

An exciting new chapter for the Roseland Peninsula’s longest-established independent estate agency

H Tiddy is delighted to announce the promotion of David Hoskings to Head of H Tiddy, recognising his contribution to the business and his growing role within the Roseland property market. Dave joined H Tiddy this year with ten years of estate agency experience, including working at the upper end of the Cornwall property market and specialising in prestige waterside and country homes.

His appointment marks an important next step for H Tiddy as the business continues to build on more than a century of estate agency heritage on the Roseland Peninsula. For Dave, the promotion has particular significance because his connection with the Roseland extends far beyond property. Married with a young daughter, he has strong family connections across the peninsula, particularly around Veryan, and a genuine understanding of the communities and way of life that make the area so distinctive.

“I’m absolutely delighted to take on the role of Head of H Tiddy,” said Dave.

“H Tiddy has an exceptional reputation across the Roseland, built through local knowledge, experience and, most importantly, the relationships we have with our clients.

“Since joining the company, I have been incredibly impressed by the work ethic and team spirit. There is a real collective determination to drive the business forward, deliver for our clients and ensure no sales opportunity is missed.

“What has also really stood out to me is how a business with more than a century of heritage continues to evolve. There is enormous attention to detail, combined with a willingness to embrace new technology and adapt our marketing to rapidly changing client and buyer behaviour.

“Social media, video and digital marketing are increasingly important, while AI-powered search through platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google is beginning to change how people discover and research property. H Tiddy is continually looking ahead at these developments to ensure our clients’ properties remain visible wherever potential buyers are searching.

“Coupled with our Fine & Country association, which enables selected properties to benefit from national and international exposure, we have a powerful combination of genuine local expertise, highly polished and professional marketing, and global reach. There is a real determination within the business to stay ahead of the game and continually evolve how we present property to the market.

“For me, the Roseland is also very personal. My family has strong connections to the area, particularly Veryan, so I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to build my career here.

“I’m looking forward to taking greater responsibility for the day-to-day running of H Tiddy, working alongside Mark and our fantastic team of Natalie Andrew, Gail Chenoweth, John Holman and Helen Worton, with another experienced Valuer and Negotiator joining us shortly. My priority will be to protect everything that makes H Tiddy special while continuing to move the business forward.”

Mark Willson, Director of H Tiddy, said:
“Dave’s promotion is thoroughly deserved. He initially reached out to me when we weren’t looking to recruit someone with his level of experience, but it quickly became apparent that we couldn’t afford to let someone of his calibre pass us by. Since joining us, he has shown the professionalism, energy and local understanding that we value enormously.

“Dave is a natural deal maker, and that instinct is something you simply cannot teach. He listens to people, understands what really matters to them and has a genuine ability to match buyers with the right property. Combine that with his market knowledge and determination to get deals across the line, and he has quickly become an important part of H Tiddy.

“And, just to dispel any potential rumours, I am certainly not planning to retire! I still get the same buzz from agreeing a sale and thoroughly enjoy working directly with our clients and buyers. Dave taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of H Tiddy will allow me to spend even more time doing what I do best: being out in the market, meeting clients, valuing properties, negotiating sales and coaching and developing our team.

“I’m confident Dave is the right person to help us build on the reputation and heritage H Tiddy has established over more than a century.”

“It’s a very exciting time for H Tiddy,” Dave added. “We have a respected and talented team, an incredible area to work in and a business with a fantastic reputation. I’m genuinely excited about the opportunity ahead and what we can achieve together.”
